Top-class food at affordable prices!!
Fancy eating from a top-class menu, in a top-class Barcelona restaurant, and paying affordable prices? Barcelona Restaurant Week gives you just that opportunity, as it is an initiative which, from 20 to 28 February, will be offering 25-euro menus in Barcelona’s top-class restaurants. In addition, one euro from every menu will be go towards solidarity causes.
Barcelona Restaurant Week will be held from 20 to 28 February, an initiative which aims to offer top-class menus at the city’s best restaurants at the popular price of 25 euros, out of which one euro will go towards Fundación Española del Corazón (the Spanish Heart Foundation) and Fundació ONCE del Gos Guia (ONCE Guide Dog Foundation).
In all, 33 of the city’s top-class restaurants (three of which have a Michelin star), having joined in the Barcelona Gastronomy Programme, will be offering set menus this week, which include an entrée, a main course and dessert, all at the price of 25 euros.
To treat yourselves to these menus, you’ll have to call your chosen restaurant and make a reservation. The 25-euro menu will be on offer at lunchtime and in the evening, or throughout the day, depending on the restaurant.
"The aim is to democratise access to restaurants", explained Gonzalo Jaquotot, the marketing manager of Restaurant Week for Spain. Pere Duran, the general manager of Turisme de Barcelona, added that the aim was also to "capture the foreign demand for Barcelona’s best restaurants".
This initiative, organised by Turisme de Barcelona and Tryp Network, has come to Barcelona after passing through cities throughout the world, like New York, Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon and Madrid. The aim is to held it twice a year in Barcelona, in February and in October.
